Apophis for Linux x86_64
The launcher and the Apophis Runtime now run on Linux – built against glibc 2.31, for Ubuntu 20.04, Debian 11, Fedora 32 and newer.

Apophis is now available for Linux x86_64. The package apophis-linux-x86_64.tar.gz contains the launcher, the Apophis Runtime, licences and a README.
What you need
- glibc 2.31 or newer (Ubuntu 20.04, Debian 11, Fedora 32 and newer)
- a Vulkan driver (Mesa: mesa-vulkan-drivers)
- for the runtime: ALSA and udev (Debian, Ubuntu: libasound2 libudev1; Ubuntu 24.04 and later: libasound2t64)
- Java for Java profiles is downloaded by the launcher itself
How it's built
It's built on Windows and cross-compiled with Zig. The engine links ALSA and udev against a Debian 11 sysroot; the launcher bundles libdbus. X11, Wayland and Vulkan are only loaded at runtime – that's why the same package runs on many distributions.
Self-updates use the same signed release.json as on Windows.
